Gaaaaahh Just seems to not be my day. I turned the heater on in the garage early and got rid of the chill. It was quite comfortable really. Then got to work applying the white primer to the airbus. Maybe I was applying it to close, but no matter how light a coat i gave it, the paint got runs in it which I then had to sand out and re paint. eventually I gave up and gave it a couple of coats of Lifecolour gloss white and it finally went down ok.
I then got back to assembling the engine nacelles which went together ok, but still fought me a little with the paint.
I left it all to dry for a few hours while I worked on another project and should have left it there, but as evening drew near, and the garage was still warm, I thought "hey, it shouldn't take too long to mask up and spray a coat of red onto the tail. Masking went well and after testing out the Humbrol acrylic red on some scrap as I hadn't used it before, it seemed to spray ok using Lifecolour thinner.
Test complete, I then moved onto the model where one side sprayed on well, though will need a few more coats.
But with the otherside, things started to go bad. It started coming out of the brush like I was throwing paint at it from across the room from an open artery. It will need sanding back and going again. GAAAAAHHHHHHH
