Well apart from TOR (sorry about posting on your thread, by the way... ) looks like I'm the first starter. Doesn't mean I'll be the first finisher, but whatever..
Anyhow, I give you Roden's 1/144 Boeing 720 Starship One, which will be as it was when it flew Led Zeppelin around.
After doing some research on the kit, I found two things that were problematic. The first is the number of windows - there's too many. However, the decal sheet has windows and is designed to fit around them all, so I can't be arsed doing anything about them. The second, however, is a much easier fix. The engines are approximately 25% too big, so I ordered 5 sets of Welsh Models aftermarket engines for my 4 kits and the extra one I'm going to buy at some point.. Oh yeah, there was something about the nose wheels being too big, but that's a big "meh" from me..
Without further ado, I present the one and only photo!!
So far, I've painted the interior black as well as the cockpit top (that from the inside..). I've also measured out 10g of Liquid Gravity - great stuff, by the way....if you don't have any, get some!! Very easy to use.. - and put that in the nose section and the cockpit top. Then I glued it all up. Next comes masking all those bloody windows and priming. Then sanding, sanding, and more sanding.
The plastic has a slight texture to it, so we'll see how that comes up under some primer..
