Knotty, same problem as you were experiencing. I will let you know when I get back full functionality. In the meantime Adam and Andrew have full site management and control if needed.

Troy, I think your work computer porn filter is recognising and responding to the word "model" in our title. My work computers used to do the same.

Would it be fair to suggest you have at least one kit of all of these in various scales? :D

Now for my malicious troll like behaviour getting a rise out of you regarding your most beloved F-4, I've given myself a jolly good talking to and whipped myself 50 times with a wet tee-bag! Bad Adam!

Dude, don't be too hard on the F-105. It's a legendary aeroplane. How many aeroplanes do you know of that can do 860 knots on the deck! This is why the F-4s could not keep up with the 105s up North heading to RP6A. About half of the F-105s were lost in S.E. Asia. At one point it was statistically impossible to complete 100 missions North without being shot down. The reasons for these appalling stat's are many - including the fact that Lyndon Johnson, McNamara and Dean Rusk gave Nth Vietnam target info via the Swiss Embassy to minimise civilian casualties - I shit you not! I have chatted to a ex-105 pilot who went on to fly the F-4. Best he could offer about flying the F-4 was it was better than flying a desk! I know you don't like reading but here are a couple of good articles on the 105 - one story covering how a young 1st Lt in a 105 took out 2 MiGs - the second Col. Olds was just about to take out! It's a cool story!

http://www.keytlaw.com/f-4/waldrop-mig-kill/

The second one from Air & Space magazine highlights how the 105s often had to look after themselves up North as it was hit and miss with F-4 escorts would be there or not. The "escort" not being there was a beef I've read about often from 105 pilots. The issue here I think is the fact that the 105 was bloody fast down low. Even in cruise with bombs hanging off it, the 105 was very fast and gave the F-4s issues keeping up on the way to the target.

F-4 and F-105 - both extraordinary fighters with largely different roles and have their own strengths and weaknesses. Both are legendary as are the crews that flew them. Apol's for stirring you up!
