An interesting B707 hybrid colour scheme

I would really like to make this. It is the first RAAF B707-338C (A20-627, ex VH-EAG), as she was delivered, still in her basic Qantas colours but with that addition of RAAF roundels and tail number.

So where is the tail number, does not seem to be obvious?

You can just make it out in black on the tail, especially in the last shot. I agree though that the quality of the reproduced photos does not make it easy to see. Ya know it is 627 cause she was the only one to carry this hybrid scheme.

Did this aircraft pass directly from QANTAS to the RAAF, or was it obtained via another party ?

For that matter, were all the -338Cs (QANTAS birds) passed directly from QANTAS upon their disposal to the RAAF ?

Aircraft A20-627 and A20-624 were transferred directly from Qantas to the RAAF. Aircraft A20-623 and A20-629 came from Worldways Canada to the RAAF, although both were also originally Qantas aircraft. The final three aircraft,
A20-103, A20-261, and A20-809, (all Boeing 707-368Cs), came from Saudia.
