Do any of you in Oz know what is the status of this vendor? I'm asking on behalf of someone who place an order with them over the Internet some months ago and has heard nothing in response.

I saw that thread and even posted an inquiry as to updates, if any. I was hoping someone on this forum might know more..

Michael,

I've seen the individuals who are behind Sandle Hobbies at some hobby shows in the past 6 months with their wares for sale. They do exist. I am advised that they also attend some meetings of the ACTSMS based in Canberra.

As for purchasing or ordering from their website, I've never bothered after they ignored an inquiry of mine. What I suspect is that they do not have many of the more significant items listed in stock. I've found potentially OOP kits/items listed on their website which makes me suspicious, because even some of the more reputable online sellers with higher volumes of trade don't stock these items any more.

Customer service ? I guess unless they have something to sell to you, they probably don't consider you as a (potential) customer. I've not heard one good thing about this online seller unfortunately.

Sandle have poor communications skills. In person they are very personable. It seems to me they do not know how to click reply in their email program.

Yes, they do attend ACTSMS meeting regularly. Their stock level is poor. When something listed on their site is 'available' it means they have seen in on a vendor site and can try and get it.

I even placed an order in person with them and have not seen or heard anything about it. That was about 2 years ago now. So I don't bother with them.

Thanks, Nicolas and RayS, for those responses. I had at one time considered ordering from Sandle myself, but I believe now I'll take them off my "preferred vendors" list.
