When I read Piaggio I was hoping upon hope it would be the P166. not so alas though the Jetstream should be good. I have 3 Airfix examples in the stash but they need engine work to make an accurate example (easy enough to do and builds up into a really nice model) I wonder what the price tag will be on the Amodel

Although a P166 would be lovely, there are only a handful of us mature guys who even know what one is.

Hmmm......... Piaggio Avanti..........I like that offering. A very aesthetically-pleasing profile to my eyes at least. I must line myself up for the 1/72 offering. Thanks for posting, Wally.

On the subject of Amodel, I got myself one of their two Beech Starship boxings in 1/72 just a couple of months ago on a visit to Showcase Models. John was in the process of unpacking and boxing a recently received shipment from Amodel and I spotted the flattened box of the Starship. From that moment, he had one less Starship kit to offer Joe Public :)

I think the decals are the only significant difference between the two kits. From memory, the kit offers alternate parts for the foreplanes in the fully-forward (low speed) configuration and in the aft-swept (cruise) configuration.

When I return to Melbourne, I might crack the kit open and give the forum members a 'peek' at its contents.

I've already taken measures to commence construction. Amodel provide you with a cabin interior with fore/aft bulkheads from memory and some seats. A cursory look at what I had removed from the sprues suggests lots of dry fitting and cleaning up of parts before committing to assembly.
