Some of my models

Postby Michel » Sat Jan 31, 2015 5:01 pm

Hi everbody,

As a new member, below are some pics of the recent models I finished.
I am a slow builder, and don't have a lot of time for modeling.
I got a bit involved in the development of the 1/72 High Planes Models Mirage III scale 1/72, that's why there are quite few builts, and still some on the bench actually.
HPM is now working on the 1/48 Mirage III and again, I enjoy helping in this project.
Most of my subjects are military and had a go few years ago with a Revell 1/144 A340, and I really enjoyed it, have plenty of civilian aircrafts in my stach now, but not much more time unfortunately.

The pics:

And a bunch of High Planes Models 1/72 Mirages, single and dual seats, ost of them built from test-shots:

Nice!

Great modeling Michel, and even better Mirages, although I must say I was interested in an Argie Finger until I saw how really plain it is in the modern colours

A very diverse, interesting, and well-built line up there.
I do recognise the SAA A340 from Model Expo several years ago.
Thanks for posting.

Hi Michel

Most impressed with your builds - the Su-27 "Blue 06" most of all. Out of interest, what paints did you use? I've the big Trumpy offering to build one day - well, it will be probably less than 50% Trumpeter in the end!

Thanks for showing your brilliant work - most impressed!

Cheers

Adam

Thanks for all your kind comments ;)

Adam, for the Su-27, I used the Enamel Testors paint:
2130 Flanker Pale Blue,
2131Flanker Medium Blue,
2132 Flanker Blue Grey

The 1/32 is on my list too, saw it for pretty cheap last time I was in Hong-Kong, will think about going with an empty suitcase next time I am going there...

How cool is that Mig 25 Foxbat!!!
She may not have the elegance and sophistication of a Mirage .....but talk about about big, brutish, and purposful!!!
Just a "kick arse" aeroplane!!!
