After more than two years I've finally finished making this model of a Junkers Ju90 as it would have appeared in 1938. It's made from an Air Craft Models vacform kit with white metal details and a good decal sheet that was probably made in the 1990s. It really didn't tale two years to make, most of the time it sat in a box while I got up the courage to go on with it. Bloody Dr Junkers and his separate control surfaces. Eventually I got to the stage where I decided that I'd rather have it completed in a less than perfect state than beat myself up in trying to make it perfect. But it doesn't look too bad.
The Ju90 was a big aeroplane in its time and carried up to to 40 passengers in luxury (apart from the turbulence) while the 747-8I carries around 450 passengers, most of them in what could barely be called luxury. That's progress for you.
