Thanks everyone.

A coat of Future has been applied to the black area in preparation for decals tonight.

Here is a picture of the "Old Models Decals" decal sheets. The one on the left is the new sheet ising Digital Silk which means that white can be printed. The one on the right is the old sheet printed on white paper. I'm sure the old ones wouldn't look good once applied. So happy he went down this path. I'm hoping they are designed to fit over the last three passenger windows.

How do you find the white on the decal sheet Tony ? My 777 sheet is great, but the white seems to be really thick !!

Hi Knotty,

It isn't too thick. I think the problem comes about from the two layers of ink that make it a bit thick. The grey and then the white on top. I put one side on today and with a bit of softener it conformed really well. Although Houston we have a problem. It appears one of the fern fronds are missing. Curiously they are on the "old" sheet. I have shot an email to Old Models to see what's the go.

It has been a while but I've finally received the replacement decals. They have been re-designed. The silver fern decals is now a three piece, not two. Hopefully will make things easier. It also took hours to remove the old decal off the fuselage. The glue works well!

Thanks Ray. I have another in the stash which I would happily sell if I can finish this creation without any dramas.

Was great catching up too. Didn't need the stealth coated wrapping paper either!!

I soaked the decals by wrapping moist paper towel around them. A little fleck of paint did come off but as it would be recovered in decal I just used a black pen to colour it in.
