1:72 Airfix Bristol Fighter

Hi folks,
Does anyone happen to have a set of Airfix 1:72 Bristol Fighter F.2B instructions I could get a copy of???
And are these two aircraft the same scale???







if so I did not realize the Fokker was so small

Can't help with the instructions, but the little Fokker is the same scale

So either the Bristol Fighter was the F-15 or SU-27 of it's day being extraordinarily large for it's class, or the Fokker was very small, (may be the F-5 of it's day).

That's a lovely model Ed.....she sure looks good in civvie colours
Surprisingly for me though, I actually wanted to refurb/re-do these two little old models as an in flight "dog fight" diorama.
It's high time I learned the art of rigging a Bi-plane and I thought these two would be good to practise on.
Once I master rigging I will then apply the skill to the many civil Bi-plane projects I have in waiting, (including many early Qantas aircraft)

It's what Fred calls a "one metre model". It was built in shocking haste for a club display (WSMC 50 Years of the DC-3 display) and I never got to rig it. I may have one set of decals if anyone seriously wants to build one.

There's always Australia's first airliner, of course. Classic Planes released a conversion kit to turn the F2B into a Tourer that included decals for Western Australian Airways. I managed to find one on ebay but haven't got around to making it yet.



I wouldn't be surprised if this photo was taken on the Esplanade at Perth in the first days of December 1921. You've rekindled my interest. I must get the kit out and have a play with it.

So does everyone agree that the two above kits are the same scale, (not that I doubt you Graeme), cause the Fokker still looks to small to be 1:72 to my eye.
