I've been looking into it and I'm gonna probably try a 1/48 Academy kit. There seems to be a few around. AFV and Hasegawa both do a 1/48 kit as well. Then there's a 1/48 Fujimi one but that appears hard to get sometimes and Dragon do a 1/35 one but that's even harder to get. I can get the Academy one for about $12 from ebay so it's not expensive if it doesn't work out :)

It's a great colour scheme and it looks like the only decals you will need will be the generic letter/number rego....the rest can be painted.
She will be a great addition to our display next year, (reckon it will be a bit of a head-turner actually)

Lockheed 12 that appeared in Casablanca. Kit was Special Hobbies, quite good, flash masked and sprayed, logo and registrations inkjet printed. The transparencies had yellowed and were replaced with a vac-formed one.
Suggestion- adorn the stand with posters (A3 copies) and stills from the film that the aircraft modelled appeared in.

Great job Fred.....she will look great on our display table.
As to poster/stills for the display table.....I have been giving this much thought. A poster of the movie that a given model is from is a great idea and will help create the atmosphere for the display theme, but these could be difficult to source if the display model is from a TV show or documentary. And A3 poster whilst visually impacting, will probably be too big for our given display area.....I was thinking more along the lines of A4.
As the time comes closer I will need a definitive and specific list of what models will be contributed, I will also need to know what movie/TV show the model is from so that I can source the posters which will help decorate this A/CAM display.

Another absolute cracker Fred! I like the idea of A4 backdrops for each "film star" - the modellers themselves can print these out, or will you do this based on pic's/artwork provided by each of us Ray?

On another note, where are we with presenting our case for a "Civvie - Light" Expo category? Do we need to make a formal presentation or proposal to the Expo committee at some stage?
