She was an amazingly sleek and streamline aeroplane for her day.

Nice job Paul. Now you have to tell us the WIF story of how Calwell ended up in China! So, he got over his huff with the RAAF and re-up'ed to take on those dreaded Chi-Comm's?
Don't you love that period when aeroplanes were designed still with French Curves by the drafties.

Adam and other's.
in the wiff world,WWII with japan hasn't ended in 1945(i have some nice Japanese stuff as well)...and Macarthur might not have got out of the phillipines :D :o  ...so the island hopping didnt happen.....but more importantly the Aussies were more involved, early in the was port morsby was taken...and taking back PNG took alot longer,so we went through Burma and into china to boot the Japanese out.....so the morotai mutiny didn't happen,Caldwell held his position through out the remaining years of the war,and with the reequipping of the RAAF the tired whirlwinds were replaced with DHA built DH hornets....the DAP beaufighters were replaced with A26's .
