I know these are not plastic model kits but I thought I would share with you some diecast beauties that turned up this week.
This is a 1:200 Boeing 787-838 in a fantasy Qantas retro-scheme. The model is one of only 20 produced by a company called SM 200, who also did a lovely diecast 1:200 Qantas DC-10 WIF in the 70s "Flying Kanagaroo" scheme...once again in very limited numbers.
Not everyone's cuppa tea, but this certainly has a place in my Qantas collection:
Now here is the ideal use of military aircraft, (I am talking to you Paul ). This is the limited edition 1:72 Corgi civvie Spitfire G-AISU:
.....and here she is with some other diecast 1:72 ex-military beauties
I have said it before and I will say it again....military aircraft do look much better in civvie schemes
