So did anyone catch this program this evening ? SBS screened it again. Will probably be available on SBS on Demand.

To quote a couple of things said about Neil as the documentary closed by those who knew him intimately:

He was the one to always do the right thing.

He was the man that you saw - that was him.

He was true to himself.

Some of our most 'eminent' leaders today don't even make it into the ball park, let alone play in the game, compared to a man like Neil Armstrong. Shame (and a pox) on all of them

Hi Nicolas

Yes, I watched it again - peeved my "cave bound" wife off royally too - "Are we watching this all night?" she moans - "YES" replies I! Some look to the earth, some look to the stars I guess.

Neil Armstrong is at the very top of my list of extraordinary humans. There just was no one else on this planet better suited to be the first human being to plant their boot on the moon I think.

Have you seen this interview Armstrong did with the CPA here? It was his last major recorded interview I believe. Very interesting he chose to do it in Australia and not in USA.

For my 50th last year, I shouted myself a print done by Alan Bean (Apollo 12 astronaut now artist) of what Neil would have appeared like had Buzz taken a photo of him outside on the surface (Neil had the camera).

I have dutifully reported you to Buzz Aldrin - he has a special way of dealing with "unbelievers like you!

Here's what happens to unbelievers!

Nice right hook.
I'm with Buzz...I listened live as Neil landed (manually flying) on the surface & then stuck his boot into the lunar dust.
Conspiracy theories of fake moon landings are sad inventions of people that wish to appear as 'individuals' that think outside the box.

It rained this morning.
No it didn't...the US governent had 100 x C-130's flying over the cloud cover dropping water to dispel the El Niño theory.

BAHAHAHA.
