Tamiya 1/48 IL-2M3

I don't usually buy brand new kits, but I picked this one up because I've always wanted to build a Mongolian IL-2. Mongolia got about 70 IL-2's at the end of WW2 and flew them into the mid 1950's. The one rather poor picture I got was not much use at all except to confirm their actual existence. I went with Russian camo as I doubt they would have been repainted. The numbers and Zoyombos were masked and painted in sections, with the stars being decals and yes, they were really rough and not all that straight in the picture. Camo was done free hand and I kinda blasted it with the flash a little, I should take some new pics.

This was a really nice kit to build and I would say surpasses their Spitfire Mk 1 as their best model.
