Thanks very much Wally, perhaps it is some sort of default setting with flickr. I have had this issue a number of times.

I usually resort to doing a screen print and then resaving the image.

I worked the Red Arrow pics as best I could, the light angles, smokey atmosphere etc made it less than ideal for photography, some of these came out ok:

That first Red Arrow photo is a cracker Wal. It's as good as any other photos I've seen of the Arrows.
Nothing wrong with tweaking and fiddling with them to get a better result either, once again great photos and enjoy yourself over there.
