How very cool is it seeing the USS Nimitz in the flesh!!!
What's the smaller HMCS?? vessel escorting her???
Man!!!.....she sure is one big mother f@#$%er of a ship. You only really appreciate how big she is without any aircraft on her deck.
What is she doing in your neck-of-the-woods Dylan???

the Nimitz was part of an exercise up the coast in Nanoose. I have a few lousy shots of her steaming around in circles up in Nanoose from one of the city parks. the little vessel is either HMCS Cougar or Caribou. tiny little training ships that are around time to time.
