ironically, that's where I got the idea from :D . The vertical "Rayvis-Monthan AFB" as it is known tends to keep the dust of em, and frees up a lot of horizontal space.
IIRC...even my great AMI nemesis Alfred  liked my vertical storage idea.

I wonder what the neighbours think when they look over the fence?

OK.....well I might as well complete this totally embarrassing and humiliating story. Here are the rest of the refurb projects that are currently underway, that I haven't yet revelled. May as well lay all my cards on the table

Well.....that's all my dirty little modelling secrets laid bear. I now present myself for public ridicule and scorn cause, having a look at all this.......I bloody well deserve it.

They tell me that every time they look over the fence they get this incredible urge to build a model aircraft :D

I think, TOR, that the word for your condition is Masochist. Several years back I went through all the kits that I'd started but not finished and finished them or threw them out. I felt as though a massive weight had been lifted from my shoulders.

In respect of the 707, I see that Welsh Models want something like 36 Pounds for their 707 kit. I think I will live with the problems at that cost.

It's all good Ray, you are of course among friends. Nay, he who lives in a glass house should not cast stones - well, at least towards any glass! This is a magnificent obsession - no expensive time wasting therapy required. The best therapy of course is to keep building, with perhaps some more painting and decaling and finishing required! Go to it - make us proud! This is your time - before you're once again "living the dream" and up to your eyeballs in meetings, paper/computer work, etc!

I've just gone through my models and sorted out the crappy kits that I will never, ever build. I buy too many high quality models to bother with some of these crappy models. Some of them were left over from my intermediate years and were given to me at Model Expo. Not sure if I should sell them at dump prices or just throw them in the bin....

I love the 109 whose air intake is glued on ass-backwards. Classic.
Somewhere in the Great Beyond, Willy Messerschmitt is scratching his head thinking:"Now why didn't I think of that?"
It looks heaps better and would give a much better TAS with the reduced drag. Not so much for ram effect, though.
