1000 bucks for a model kit! Where do you draw the line?

Just having a look at BNA and noticed the new Border Models Dambuster Lancaster is $1,049.50. Sorry but that is absurd. That's triple the price of the Hong Kong kit. So at what price would you draw the line here?

All this reminds me of cricket bats, of which I need a new one this season. The price of those is stupid as well, with some of the bats promoted by past and present players going for 2000 or more dollars. For the record, my limit is 400 bucks, no one needs a 2000 dollar bat to play park cricket!
