KP 1/72 Cessna 180/185 kit

I don't think there has been any discussion of this kit here but there is an extensive discussion on Britmodeller, complete with some probably incorrect measurements, some special pleading for an earlier kit and a lot of noise.

You are forgiven for not reading all of it but the take home message is that the kit has a few problems. We have done our best to try and fix them and our first shot is the rather pretty Cessna 185 VH-SBU with enough 3D printed parts to make a somewhat more accurate model than OOB.

Depending on how we go with these we may try and fix up the early version 180A (like VH-GEO) and even the military models.

Interesting, so your conversion replaces the kit wing and rear fuselage and is boxed with the KP kit Ed?

That is correct. New corrected wing and rear fuselage. It has been suggested we add more parts but we would end up not having to put the KP kit in the box!

We have now done another civil Cessna. This time it is a 180 rather than a 185. The Bureau of Mineral Resources operated a 180 with a unique trailing 'bird' magnetometer. This is not included in the KP kit so we have added it - and fixed all the other inaccuracies of the kit.
Two versions.
Including the KP kit

Upgrade if you already have the kit

The upgrade can be used to fix any civil 180 KP kit.
