That looks great Jack :-), nice refurb and update. By the size of it I think it is the old Aurora kit. Airfix did not release a -100

Landing Gear installation day. Let the mains set up, then I can install the scratch built doors and struts. Coming along! Decals arrived today. I should have this done in the next day or two; then on to the base - which everyone is gong to love!

Had to show a pic of the gear in retraction. Adhesive dried perfectly and couldn't wait to take a pic. The gear doors and down lock struts (in V shape ) get installed tomorrow. The window decals arrived from Authentic Airliners and those will go on shortly. Then on to the base graphics.

Installed the main gear downlock struts & gear doors, added 3 additional vortex generators below each stabilizer, pitot tubes on vertical stabilizer, and antennas on the fuselage. Tomorrow it's decal time, pitot tubes up front, and base construction.

Really impressive work.
This kit was also released by Monogram many moons ago.

This will be the last update in the "Works in Progress". Thanks for the kind words! Next set of photos will be in "Works Completed" with it's display base.
The aircraft is pretty much completed. Window decals provided by Authentic Airliners of Germany . Engine Pratt & Whitney logos from Airline Hobby Supply in Arizona. The rest is explained on the photos. Fun build and it's dressed up a bit fancier than the stock kit. Accurate to some degree; precise far from it. But it was fun to modify and, in essence, it was a science experiment for lack of a better term. By the way, this is a -100 series. I thought about adding the 1.3" to the fuselage to convert it to a -200 (which Janet Air actually flew) but it wasn't worth the trouble. Plus the engines are, well....horrible and would need to be replaced. Figuring in all the aftermarket goodies and I'd be close to the cost of a Big Plane Kit 737. Again, it was an experiment and it'll pass for the scenario I had planned for. Now I have my practice in for the BPK 737-800 which I plan to covert to the 700 series.
