Such a great movie! Question for you Capt - have you read any Roald Dahl? He flew Hurri's during WW2 you may know. There is a scene in Porco Rosso when Porco recalls a WW1 event - climbing above the clouds, he sees a stream of flicking specs above. Climbing higher, he sees that they are aeroplanes - remember that scene? This is borrowed from Roald's book "Over to you" - the story being "They shall not grow old". The stream of aeroplanes is of course fallen airmen on their last flight to some kind of a "Aviators Heaven/Valhalla". Bit of Porco trivia for you!
