CRJ 700 Lufthansa

Postby Uros » Sun Mar 22, 2020 2:47 am

Hi!
I got two more CRJ 700. This time in 1/72nd scale. Kit looks good with nice details. A bit of work is needed to get good fit, but nothing serious. I have all the major parts assembled and cockpit painted.

The other one is painted the same and will be in Luxair livery.

That is really nice work in the cockpit Uros, how did you do the seat covers, that is a nice effect.

I have the -200 to build, looks like I may give it a go when we all have to stay home.

Thanks Ray.
I used an old brush and mr.surfacer 1200. Take a small amount of surfacer and just tap on the seat until you get that efect.

I've built the -200. It's a bit tricky to asemble, but worth the effort. We're staying at home, so far it's not that bad but Italy is realy hit hard. I hope Eugenio is all right.
Cheers!

Thank you, Uros, for your concern.
And, yes, I'm doing well. I work at home and, as I already noted few previous time, I work a lot more than in the factory, without too much tel calls and other people asking for a lot of things.
Found some more modelling time too. I'll report the (small) progress on the Caribou by the end of the week.
Great start and progress on your CRJ 700 (who would expect something different?)
My best wishes to you and to your beautiful land. Stay healthy and stay at home.

Now to clean up all the seams and rescribe lost panel lines, than it's time for primer.
Thanks for looking in!

Nice detail, saw some of these images on the BPK FB page.

Did you use stretched sprue as some of the cabling on the gear legs? Very effective!

Thanks Ray!
Yes I used stretched sprue.

Here is a bit of progress.
After three coats of primer and lots of sanding inbetween they were ready for paint.
