Farman 370

Postby F-27pax » Sun Feb 09, 2020 12:45 pm

One of the reasons for A320s being slow off my production line is that I got distracted. In corresponding with French modellers about French colours I came across one who was completing a short run resin kit of a Farman 370, one of the Coupe Deutsch de la Meurthe racers from the 1930s. I got one from him and it is a little rare gem that I'm working on slowly so I don't stuff it up.

It's French! What else can I say, except, of course, isn't it beautiful!

Here is the almost completed Farman 370 resin kit in 1/72. One of the decals went missing into my modelling room black hole, but apart from that ... The kit was produced by Adrien Roy in France and he has a couple of other exotic little French racers that I must try out.

Well, that is certainly a different subject Leigh, something I would not attempt myself.

A great looking build!

hmm, French designs of the '30's were something, but I would hardly say they were beautiful, must have been an interesting aircraft to fly with just one mainwheel, a pair of outriggers and a tailwheel, wonderful job on what is a truly esoteric subject.
