OK, with some time away from home looking after No.1 son in Adelaide after a minor operation, who could not resist taking a kit and some tools away to while away the time?
Here is the kit
This is the first new tool High Planes kit I have attempted, I have another two HP Mirage kits in the stash.
It goes together with little fuss and in two session over two days I have it almost ready for paint, which I won't be able to do here as I don't have the facilities of home to do it.
Starting with the cockpit parts and some basic painting.
then I moved on to the wings and fuselage
which required some putty when brought together. I could have added some spacers in the fuselage to reduce the wing root gaps. I will do this one the next one
While the putty was setting (which was fairly quick when it is 40 degrees C outside) I attended to the fuel tanks
I also got the radome together
And a final shot of the radome test fitted to the airframe, the putty cleaned up and some minor rescribing done
