We are back in the UK, our first day dawned clear blue and cold and we went down to Coningsby around noon Friday, this is not a good time to go because like the RAAF they finish flying early on Fridays so we only saw a few jets. We first set up on the mound at the western end but Runway 25 was in use and the jets were miles high and miles away on departure (2 max performance climb outs). Later we moved down to the 25 threshold end shooting one departure over the fence and a couple of arrivals. Now this is my first experience of aircraft photography in the wan winter daylight... the exposures look quite different. I want to go back later in the day on normal week days and get some jets in golden light.
