Postby Ericg » Sun Jun 01, 2014 5:27 pm

Hi guys,

Thought that I might put pictures of the S4 on here as I recently took some better pictures of it. Salty, these are mostly for you mate to get your creative juices flowing as I know that you have just purchased this model.

For WIP photos, (including the famous Hang a Hat on it strength test!) here is a link to the photobucket slide show:

Thanks for that Eric. Magnificently executed.
I am reading a book about the history of the Schneider Trophy after seeing your S4 and then purchasing the kit from Hannants.
I'll be asking you plenty of stupid questions once I get going.

Good luck with it Salty. Check out the photobucket slideshow that I attached on the original post above to get a good idea on what's in store for you. A tricky kit to execute correctly and considering that I hadn't done gloss before, it was a good way to try a new technique. I also left the spinner un painted (it's white metal) so that I could gauge how effective my painting of the cowls were as far as comparing real metal to painted metal would be.

That painted metal is really, really good... I want to try that one day on a metallic airliner like an old Eastern airlines B727..
It's hard for me to get used to these changing times... I remember when the air was clean and the sex was dirty..
