Hi all,
So.....as from the 25th of February 2018 I will be working for AMSA/SAR Cobham Special Missions in my new capacity as a Specialist SAR Aircrew, crewing the highly-modified SAR Bombardier Challenger 604 jets out of Essendon.
I am really excited at the prospect of this new aircrew adventure, and I am looking forward to doing something that I consider to be really worthwhile.
I am so appreciative and grateful to Cobham for offering an old bugger like me such an amazing opportunity so late in my aviation career, (now I just gotta loose the gut so that I can fit back into a flying suit ).
The other really great thing is that I still get to keep my hand in as an Aviation Safety Training Instructor, as my current employer Dynamic Crew Training Pty Ltd want to keep me on as a "when/where available" contract Instructor.....best of all outcomes as far as I am concerned .
The reason I am telling you all this is that, from now until about May, I will be undertaking a fairly intensive training program, (qualifying as a radar systems operator, learning how to drop stuff out of aeroplanes etc.), so I may be "off the grid" for a little while, (looks like no model desk time the next few months).
Anyhow....here are my new babies :
And yes....I already have the BPK 1:72 Challenger 604 kit in the stash, waiting and ready to go, (some major mods required though).
