seems to have been a busy weekend for the Vic based LATs...C130 and RJ85...and an extra on bought down from Dubbo todau...hitting as fire just north of the Thompson river.....herc's been over my place in the gully and 5 times a day both ways.

I thought the 7373 had been down your way as well. I saw it a couple of times last week popping into Canberra for retardant top-ups. It has such a lovely scheme.

Just as an aside from that, one of the Sky Cranes went down in Gippsland today....ended up upside down in a lake. Thankfully, all the crew managed to get out.

Sad to hear about the loss of that Skycrane, but relieved to hear the crew are OK. Reinforces just what this work involves.

Absolutely no need for any kind of LAT or VLAT up here, we have a lot of the other fire control system going on
on the downside I was planning on going to the Rockhampton Model Show this weekend, but things are looking like that won't happen now
had 90mm of rain in the last 24 hrs

There is always the Inland Route (and you get to visit the Model Shop in Emerald).
