Yes! The PE gravel kit is safely in my hands thanks to PR19_kit. ALRIGHT. On to trying to find the engines.

Well seeing it's not available anymore see if you can get a hi-res scan of it so we can have a go at copying it?

I'll see what I can do. I've reached the point where modern electronics confound me. BUT.... I'd like to take a look at my mama's new scanner/printer and see what I can manage. Barring that, something like a library or office store type place may be able to help, yeah?

It's rather simple anyway from what I can tell. Embarrassingly, I haven't even opened the package and looked at the stuff myself so not sure of any paper work with it that would shed some light but it seems MOST of this stuff is the air stairs and the gravel kit portion is rudimentary:

In which case, a run through a simple copy machine may suffice and I can send you all copies in the mail as if they were Christmas cards. Anyway, I can't tell what some of that stuff even is, like the two deltas. I'm also not sure if the stuff to make the actual housing for the nose gear is there or not.

Correct and help me here if any of this seems wrong or stupid. I manage to function but I have my days.

Got some more work done on the 737. The fuselage is looking glorious now. I will throw on another 2-3 coats of primer, however, then sand the entire thing lightly and get it real nice for the appliance white. This should look really nice if I do it right.

I also did a bunch more work trying to fix the windscreen and nose area that I messed up so badly. It's a lot better now but I still will need to trace the windscreen transfers onto masking tape, cut it out, and put it on there to test it out. If need be, I'll go back in for more "adjustment" but I hope it's fine now.

I also glued the two gear doors back together that I accidentally cut in half.

The other thing there is a 1/72 SZD 41 Jantar Standard glider that I'm working on to turn into a civil "racing glider." I'm funny like that... I'll slap a bunch of oil and fuel engine related advertisements on it.

I've done it before:

Here's another of the current one from a day or two ago:

Still going. I think I have the windscreen area sorted. Now I'm down to the final bit of making sure the fuselage is super smooth. With the idiotic way I filled in the windows, this is proving to be a colossal pain in my ass but I'm getting there. Starboard side is very very close to being acceptable and the port side is better than it was, yet, still needs some work. Regardless, I've been doing it and I'll reach the point eventually where it's all good.

At this point, I'm going to have to build the modified nose gear housing that goes with the gravel deflection plate. The plate is PE but the set didn't come with anything for the housing. I need to make this out of plastic card. Shouldn't be too difficult but then again I've never done it before.

Not much of an update but rest assured I'm still chipping away at this! Still waiting for some AA engines to appear from nowhere, however...

Ta!!! I need all the help I can get! I also haven't forgot about scanning them. The air-stairs are neat, I've already figured out what to do with them. I'm going to make an in-flight 727 Northeast orient... gear down and air stairs down.....

This is still on hold pending some materials I'm ordering in. There are things I could be doing to it, but, I'd rather rest this build for awhile and wait on everything to arrive. Also, I'm going to scan the sheet of PE parts before I dive into them so I need to get that done first before I start playing with it all.

To that end, I've ordered in some sheet styrene so I can fabricate the nose gear housing and the "greeblies" that will go on the deflector plate and any other things that will go with the nose gear.

I'm also going to buy that issue of Airliner Modeller but I'm thinking about buying the entire 29 issue set and if I do that, I might need to wait a week or two to make some money to cover it.

OK. So..... I've decided to buy the entire set of those Airliner Modeller magazines. That costs $150 so I'll need to wait until sometime next month to do that. That means that this thing is mainly on hold.

That doesn't mean I'm not working on it, however. I'm still trying to get the window areas and a couple doors leveled off so to that end I've spread more putty in those areas and will sand it down later. But, after I get that sorts and get it primed again I'll have to stop until I get the mags. I imagine I could keep going anyway but I'd like to what that one issue has to say about all this and then proceed from there.

Progress is very very slow right now, but it's happening at least!
