1/144 Leigh's NAC Airfix Boeing 737-200 group build

After making the L'Aeroposatle 737-200 at high speed I've been pottering along on the NAC 737-200. So much so that I've only just begun the painting process. Photo attached. There's nothing in this build that is different from the L'Aeropostale build except that, being the second one I'm making, I'm avoiding a few traps I fell into last time.

Looking back at the first -100 and -200 I built I now remember that I used the Revell -800 kit fuselage cut down to the appropriate length with the Airfix wings to give the slight double-bubble effect that is missing from the Airfix kit. Not that anyone but I would notice. Photos of them anyhow.

Lovely work there Leigh, actually knew a Pilot who flew with Air Nauru for a time, had some really interesting stories about them.

This build is progressing a lot more slowly than the L'Aeropostale 737 did. I keep on forgetting to take photos of progress so things have moved on a lot and this is the current state of play, with the Oldmodels decals starting to go down - very nicely in general too. You will note that I've had a little disaster with the front window, which will be a challenge. Otherwise, there have been no great dramas.

She looks like one of the anonymous "Janet airlines" 737s that routinely fly between Las Vegas and Area 51.

What a pity then that there are more decals on the sheet to spoil the illusion.
