Paul
This photo just turned up on one of the aircraft FB pages I am a member of.

Don't want to distract you from the 737 building, but what a great addition this would make to your Falklands theme.
This is one of the nicest and clearest shots I have seen of this particular jet. I wanna build her :D

Well I have a spare Airfix kit in the stash. Just the decals would be the drama but nice find Ray. I'll have to do some research into if they were involved in the Falklands War at all :)

Just been doing some reading-up on her. Seems she was active throughout the war flying support, liaison, and possibly even radio relay tasks.

I was kinda hoping it wasn't involved as the list of models to be build is rather huge as it is. Oh well. WHat's another one to do. I'll move a kit to the Falklands stash when I go out to the shed next. Hmmm sad that I have a stash inside a stash

I guess I'll have to keep a look out for another 125 then :)

And a Matchbox one at that! I was stunned to see on Scalemates that they reckon the Matchbox kit has only been issued twice :

The other thing is the engines for a 700. Have to have a look around to see if anyone does them.

Edit :

Some interesting (and strangely familiar in that two of them are the same and the result of a "Challenge Build"!) Threads here :

Unless things have changed in recent years and someone has produced a set whoever produces Garretts will have a ready made market by the looks of it.

What's wrong with using the Airfix kit for the aircraft that Ray posted up? It would have the correct engines in that kit as well I reckon.

The Airfix kit should be OK for the 400 as per the photo.

The Matchbox 600 and new engines would be best for the 700.

Then the 400 is the only one I care about :)
