The painting and modelling dinosaurs book was written by the guy who entered Expo with all his dino kits this year.

I got this one at an airshow, probably at old warden.. got a discount, paid 25 pounds for it..not sure why I have a 1/72 vacuform to build, maybe I got it as a reference piece?

Built one of these when I was in the RAAF in 1971, plan was to build a RAAF "E" but if I can pick up a second kit gonna stretch it to a L100-30

looking forward to getting back to the workbench when I return to OZ in october

Must confess to never ever knowing of this boxing of the BAC 1-11, very interesting pre jelly bean scheme, are the decals still OK?

Depending on how much they are going for over there wouldn't it be cheaper to get either the Airmodel or DB (?) conversions?

Hello Wal :

A free kit? Well that would solve it really cheaply! But you do know the Airfix kit you have was altered to a Gunship and the later Airfix Hercules releases were the Italaeri kit don't you?

The Conversion sets are :

Airmodel
https://www.airmodel.de/product_info.ph ... apjs5er8e6

DB
https://www.scalemates.com/kits/977200- ... lage-plugs

and I forgot Flightpath (which may or may not be identical to DB - someone else may be able to tell you if it is or not) :
https://www.scalemates.com/kits/176961- ... 0-hercules

Hope this helps.

P.S. Thanks for all the great photos! You are obviously having a great time over there.
