Kawanishi Double Act.

A place for our military aviation modellers to show their stuff. It may not be civil but it still has a home here

Kawanishi Double Act.

Postby Wedgetail » Tue Aug 07, 2018 6:03 pm

Kawanishi N1k Kyofu/Mighty Wind Allied code name Rex.

Kawanishi N1K1-J Shiden/Violet Lightning. Allied Code name George, the land based version of the Rex. Both kits are Tamiya from memory. Floquil Lacquer aluminium base, Model master enamel IJN Green sprayed over a heavily weathered salt mixture and all dulled by a coat of Dull Cote. The IJN Green is lightened.

Any comments or kicks welcome.
Wayne.
