Primer is sanded back with the odd fix up. I also found a small short shot on the wing so that has some super glue in it drying. Once that is fixed I think I'm onto the paint. I also drilled a hole for the stand to fit which I took out of a Tamiya Spitfire kit.

Well it got sanded today with 4000 grit micro mesh so now it's reasonbly shiny. A question for you airliner nerds out there. Do I gloss coat the white now then paint the wings and horizontal stabs Boeing grey or wings etc grey first then gloss the white? Cheers

She is coming along nicely.....that white paint has a nice rich, luster to it.
As for gloss-coating, I do all mine in one hit. So, do all the painting, gloss coat for layer-equilibrium and good decal base, apply decals, then gloss coat again to seal the decals....but that's just what I do.

Bloody Humbrol paint. Bought what I thought was a new tin, opened it up once and already it's gone like glue. Plus it didn't dry hard, so filling and sanding errors is harder. Knew I should have used some Gunze.

Ok resprayed with Gunze, much better. I've masked off the darker area in the middle of the wing, the lighter colour is on here, now I will brush paint the engine nacelles natural metal with Humbrol 27002...their metallic range is the only one left worth buying and it brush paints well. The I will mask the spray the leading edges that are also natural metal.
