OK, got the wings and all the attachments on

The silver plastic and superglue as a filler make it look as though the seam hasn't been done, but it has, I use superglue because the metallic finishes think it's the same as plastic, unlike other fillers

Now sitting on it U/C legs waiting to be taken into the paint shop

I won't put the stabs and engines on until after I decal it, makes it so much easier

Looks good, I dragged a Minicraft DC-8 off the shelf of doom on the weekend and found it already had the flat area in front of the windscreen already present.

I will have to check my MD08 build to see if it is the same.

Yes the Minicraft MD80 does have it, as does the Fly DC9, but it is better on the Eastern Express DC9

I am struggling with modelling at the moment, as I have a very bad dry cough that when it starts i'm unable to do anything much, doctor has put me on Seretide which helps a little, but I'm very asthmatic and unable to breath properly, get exhausted easily, none of this is good
So managed to put some of that black Ultimate Primer on, does anyone have any experience with Alclad over this stuff or should I also use Alclad primer?

If you want a nice smooth finish then you'll want a gloss surface. You could always sand the primer with very fine micromesh but you'll want to be sure EVERYTHING has been sanded smooth or it'll stick out like dogs knackers. Personally I'd be giving it a coat of gloss black to be sure

This is my first attempt at using that Ultimate primer, odd stuff to use to say the least, the plan is to put Alclad Black gloss primer on next
I'm also using this to highlight the flaws that need fixing and to provide that bit of depth to correct some of those flaws, in the end I would have been better off using the Tamiya spray can grey primer I think.
You can get this stuff in white and grey as well as black, but not really a fan of it
