Thanks Adam, now that is one nice looking photo of a wee beasty you've posted here.
Not you perchance just blowin' off a little bit of steam?

Wayne.

I wish - although blowing off steam I prefer to do in the air! Damn, I miss the Laser! Just signed up No.2 daughter for braces yesterday.

Flamin' Heck Adam, I reckon there goes the rest of your modelling dosh as well. Still think of it as money well spent and worthwhile.
Just remember to remind her of your great model kit buying sacrifice when things get occasionally heated, and they will.

It's all cool for skool Wayne - happy in the service. Whilst I sadly had to give up a share of a Laser some time ago, I had my fun in it and amazingly managed not to kill myself in it - a miracle in itself! Regarding the stash - all good there too as I have something like 30+ big kits to build and at my best rate of one per year, that will see me out to that final chomp of the dirt sandwich! :-) In the meantime, it's back to paying: - mortgage, school fees, car loan, putting food in mouths and clothes on backs, utilities, dental, medical, bills bills bills etc, etc - AAARRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHH! Is it any wonder I now have to hunt mammoth far afield out in the GAFA!

Good to hear all is chugging along nicely Adam. Giving up your time in the Laser must have been damn hard. Myself I raced motorcycles hence the numerous bits and pieces damaged
and probably contributed in some way to having two metal hips. I dearly want to get back on a bike but my other half who actually uses her brain cells unlike me definitely says no more.
I'm lucky in regards to mortgages, we own our humble little abode in the middle of nowhere. I did ask my partner could I get an ultra light to fly around the paddocks here as there's miles of space seeing how another bike was ruled out, you can guess how that went down after she said"you've been trying to kill yourself for the last fifty to sixty odd years through high speed and high risk machinery", so I took that as a definite NO.
Cheers,
Wayne.

It was hard letting go of the Laser, but it was time. The syndicate had disintegrated largely due to one rich arsehole property developer who never flew it, but pushed for the sale when he could not sell his share - it's complicated. Anyway, I achieved my dream of flying a high performance single seat aerobatic aeroplane - one that was built by the great Guido Zuccoli and owned/flown by some other great and in one case infamous aerobatic pilots! I miss my Falcon XAGT too (first car) as well (sold to finance chasing my now wife), but must keep moving and looking forward!

My second cousin flies and maintains ultralights in the Philippines - loves them. He's former RAAF rotary wing (crew chief/door gunner) and flew in Sioux's and Huey's (did a tour in Vietnam), so I reckon he's pretty kick ass! We get to catch up every now and again and share flying stories which is great. The great Matt Hall cut his teeth flying ultralights - look where it got him! Like anything, it's risk management - still, shit happens! I wouldn't mind giving one a go sometime. ;)

I miss my much modified Ducati Pantah 600 most, I should never have sold it. Also my GPZ Kwacka and a myriad of others.
