Judging by the comments from the bloke next door (10 Sqn RAAF Shorts Sunderland-Plymouth Base), the U-Boats were MUCH more scared of him then he ever was of them...no matter which U-Boat, they shat themselves in an attempt to submerge.
Confirmed by "Iron Coffins" a book from the other side.

Personal choice: I'd take odds on the Sunderland. :)

118 aircraft confirmed shot down with another 650+ written off against 220 u boats sunk by aircraft. I'd say it's about even there, but I wouldn't want to be in a large slow target like a Sunderland or Catalina attacking a type IX, especially if he's seen you coming. Beaufighter or Mosquito....DIVE DIVE! I could write all day about the war in the Atlantic (wrote a major essay on it at Uni too).

Cannot show, but I can tell...From Hannants:

Eduard's new 1/48 Bf109 G (oh....nice)
Aerotech's beautiful 1/32 Supermarine S4 ( coz I coveted Ericg's model...big £ though)
A-Z's 1/48 Avia B.35.2

Happy?

I am.

Have you been reading Hyperscale on the Eduard 109? Seems like it's really 1/47.
