My entry for Airliners next year...

Since we had a bit of a debate about what constitutes a 'civil' aircraft on Facebook, I thought I would resurrect this idea as I had mentioned I might try to do it before.

It's perfectly within the rules too, as the definition of the category states;
Airliner Derivatives – May pertain to civil airliners in military or government service.

Since the Fw 200 was developed as a long range airliner and you airliner guys constantly say that an airliner doesn't stop being an airliner just because it wears camouflage, I'm going to test your resolve :twisted:

I have no problem with that what so ever Brad, that's exactly the kind of diversity I wanted for the Airliner category. That's why I tried to talk our favourite cop into putting his RAAF 707 into the Airliner category this year.
Bravo and bring it on.

I wouldn't go that far - if he was really brave he'd take on the old tool kit from 1971!

Looking forward to seeing how you go with this Brad.

I have a couple these in the stash

I wonder if I should build it to complement yours.

It would also give the Facebook winers some more props to look at (that were according to them missing from this year's show).

That Fw200A certainly looks nice. Not so sure about a Fw200C though. Still, I'd do it and see what the Expo Apparatchiks say. Might test their brain cells a bit.

As pointed out by Brad, the rules clearly make provision for just this sort of thing....will be very interesting.
