Aftermarket harnesses for Piper Super Cub

Postby Cap'n Wannabe » Tue Apr 18, 2017 3:56 pm

G'day all....does anyone have any suggestions or know where I can find appropriate harnesses for the Revell 1/32 Super Cub? I'm happy to go with what's moulded into the seats, but I'd prefer something a little more realistic..

I use a very fine woven cloth Elastoplast made by Louko. Cut into strips to match the kit belts and stick it over them. The weave is super fine and is actually a cloth and very sticky hence no gluing.
Can be painted if required and buckles etc could be painted or some foil impressed over the kit part. The plaster adds depth and looks more realistic. I think chemists may have it in stock.
Cheers
Wayne.

If ya find some Damo, I would also be up for a couple of sets, as I have two 1:32 Cubs sitting in the stash that would greatly benefit from these.

Suggest getting some AM etch buckles and using either Tamiya tape or that "lead/soft metal" from a wine bottle - nice material to make harnesses from. :D

Try 1/24 aftermarket car seatbelts.
