My Easter Project

Postby tor lives » Sun Apr 16, 2017 5:39 pm

OK, so here is what I have managed to complete over the Easter break.
I scored this little gem off Ebay sometime ago. It's a 1:72 Space Models Bombardier Global Express BD-700.
As my newest client is a Global Express operator,

I wanted one for my office.
She came to me as a surplus "blank", (this happens sometimes when manufacturers produce too many of a certain model for anticipated orders that never actually materialise).
After a clean-up, some preparation and modifications, and a good polish this is what we have ended up with....

She features a custom-designed and suitably-corporate WIF colour scheme, and I have deliberately gone for the "travel agent model" look so that she is in keeping with the rest of the Corporate Jet models in my office.
I have been a little self-indulgent by giving her a cheeky rego ("VH-RAY") :D . This is however as close as I will ever get to owning my own Global Express, (still, at least I now get to play on 1:1s owned by others).

Thanks guys.
While I have gained a Global Express, looks like Clive Palmer is loosing one :D

I hope they have replaced his seat as I am sure, by now, it would be significantly over-stressed :D .
