New to forum wood model carver....

Postby ArtworksIII » Thu Feb 02, 2017 2:38 am

Hello I'm Art and I live in Washington State.
I don't know where I'll fit in this forum but I have a few project works to show. While I should be on woodworking sites, many really don't relate to the parts assembly process of modeling in general. I've been around and have some unusual aircraft choices. I mostly derive my choices from what I see flying around my airspace. I worked in prototyping and am called on to make blanks now and then. (Could someone tell me how to post a few photos?) While not detailed my projects will make you wonder when kits will pop up. I mean to not identify the models I post here for the sake of fun and to see what kind of refrence materials I can find for my projects. if I've done my craft "the block model" you'll recognize each and every aircraft I post. Thanks for having me here :?

Welcome Art!
Do you upload your photos to a hosting site such as photobucket or flickr?

That looks like a Diamond DA-42..
A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...well, actually, the same galaxy, I used to carve the odd model out of balsa wood. Did a couple of Grumman GA-7 Cougars, a PA-28, a Sopwith Camel, and a Hurricane

Hello Cap'n You are Correct ;) Al my projects are pine from an old Pallets. I turned balsa into hair so pine, poplar or oak I use on occasion. Thanks for telling me about your experiences.... What are these? Image

I'd hazard a guess at the veritable 727....of course, I could be wrong!
