Eastern Express (& Mikr Mir) MD-11 for 2017

A place for sponsors and other manufacturers to advise A/CAMers of the "good stuff" to come

Eastern Express (& Mikr Mir) MD-11 for 2017

I had hoped for one of these in injection for years...

Start from here: http://pas-decals.ru/forum/novosti/6856-novinki-2017#29370 for the boxart and scroll down for the test fitting and decal shots...

Um, no Aussie operators, so no decals from me!

Anyway, these days it's just Fed Ex and UPS freighters that visit here. :|

From memory, back in the day it was Swissair, Korean and EVA Air into Sydney and Philippines and Garuda into Melbourne.

The regular overseas decal guys already produce most known operators. ;)

You could always produce some Aussie "What Ifs"?

Well, technically there was an Aussie operator.....Qantas!!!.
More to the point Qantas Freight, who operated several Gemini Air Cargo MD-11Fs on wet lease over a period of time. While operating for Qantas these jets carried QF flight numbers/designators and featured in the QF "system".

Meh, if it didn't wear the uniform or the rego, it got no attention from me. :?

In response to Ansett A330's "What If ?" query, I did find this interesting thread on a diecast forum (with pics)... http://www.diecastaircraftforum.com/wha ... hread.html

Mmmm very interesting. Thanks for that. Just wondering about Timelines and possible Operational requirements if Ansett would have operated MD-11s wouldn't it have been instead of the 747s so really the only logical Scheme would have been the last one? Actually too I think the Starmark would have been all above the No 2 engine and not "flow"/"wrap" over it. But that's the beauty of a "what if" - who is going to say you are wrong!
