Some custom decals

Postby tor lives » Fri Sep 30, 2016 9:20 am

Hi guys,
OK, so it's time to break-out a couple of Revell 1:144 Fokker 100 kits to wear some custom decal sheets I have just had commissioned. The Fokker 100, (like the 717) has become a big player in the Australian airline scene, with many being operated. These two particular F-100 Aussie schemes are no longer seen in our skies, but I have always liked them for their clean, simple look.

Looks like two more candidates will be joining the "curtain rail of doom" real soon, :D

Nice schemes, i have my F-100 reserved for a Virgin Regional scheme ( which I have decals for).

Speaking of the 'rail' Ray.

Have you actually finished anything lately or like me just keep adding to the pile of started kits? :D

Wow this one brings back memories. Should have kept note how many times I flew on the two of these. Nicely configured especially up front (which amazingly for a pleb like me I managed to jag more often than not and was especially funny when the GM was way back in row 5!).

Are you going to make the commissioned decals available for sale to the general public Ray?

In a word....no.
They were a one-off order done for me by an off-shore producer. He owns the art-work etc so I guess it's up to him to decide if he is going to make them generally available or not.

Airline decals are like Model Sites.....there are already too many out there in a limited market place with a limited audience, for any new ones to be viable.
So to answer your question.....no. I have already taken a pasting setting up and maintaining this site. I am not about to do it all again setting up my own line of decals.
