Nice work as always, Ray! I've always wanted to build this scheme myself.

Are the wings straight on your kit? On my Ansett build, the starboard wing has a noticeable upward sweep towards the tip, which I didn't even notice until I'd glued the wings on and installed the landing gear!

Wings are pretty good Kev

Looks great Ray. I'm always too scared of gaps etc when painting wings etc separate. I always attach everything and then paint :)

Thanks Paul,

This kit is pretty good for the wing/fuselage join otherwise I would be gluing the wings on and painting. I am doing that with a Minicraft B777 and the Revell B747 I am working on.

Painting almost done, I realised I need to paint the fin leading edge and APU. They will be masked next and then final assembly can start.

Finished work early today so I was able to get some more work done

I assembled the gear parts and hung them on the wings ready for painting.

and then the areas were masked for paint.

I also masked and painted the remaining metal bits around the tail

and then the wings were glued to the fusealge

She is now in the paint booth with a fresh coast of clear ready so I can start decalling sometime this weekend.

As it is a long weekend here I am confident this one will be finished by the end of it.

Wow not just a machine punching them out but a QUALITY machine producing great work. Great work Ray. Don't know how you do it. (Now starting to regret I didn't buy some AA merchandise when it was readily available especially when I regularly passed through Cairns.)
