A place for our military aviation modellers to show their stuff. It may not be civil but it still has a home here

Hi All,

Long time no hear you say :D .

Thought I would post some progress shots of my latest project that I am building for a GB over on ARC. I am using one of Pete's Resin recce pack to convert this into A8-126, as she was the last F-111 to perform the dump and burn before their retirement.

Cockpit - I had managed somehow to break off one of the joysticks before this pick was taken, unfortunately I lost it to the carpet monster

I have painted the fore Flap and L/E sections red as well as the movable l/e sections ( i have totally forgot what there called ) but haven't taken any photos yet.

Progress update.....
Had a few days break from this build to get a start F/A-18F, this one will be eventually one as on of 6Sqn's birds for a GB build over on ARC. So while the site is down for a forum server move.

This is pretty much done as a trial for myself by black basing the whole model. This build has been done by using Life color acrylic's starting with FS30738 as the base black, I have used FS36118 as the base grey,

then lightened this with matt white to give some tonal changes.

then have gone over the whole model again with a 50/50-60% paint thinner ratio and applied a couple of light coats to blend it all in.
