1/144 Revell ERJ-195 converted to ERJ-190

Postby jayveedee » Sun Sep 11, 2016 8:00 am

I am going to start my ROG Embraer 195. I had wanted to do a domestic jet but as far as I can see no one in the
U.S. flies the 195, just the 190. So i was thinking Austrian Air but the Nazca decals don't show the engines red,
so I am not sure if they are correct. Might just go with Augsburg Air, it's a simple paint job. What color are Augsburg
wheel wells? I definitely do not want to use Revell's Dolomiti decals, scheme does nothing for me.Do the windows
need to be filled when using Nazca decals for Ausburg Air? Thanks---John

Just pick one of these up to a local Aussie operator.

Looks to me decal cabin windows are supplied on the sheet John, so you could fill them if you wanted.

I personally go for decal cabin windows all the time.

Just curious, did I see windows and just frames on the Nazca decals? The Revell kit gives just
frames so there is no need to fill the holes. Does Nazca give that option also. I am not a great
lover of puttying and sanding any more than I have to, have had my fill of "Putty Queens".---John

I started work on the cockpit. I am very impressed with Revell's attempt to do a decent
cockpit in 1/144. I painted the seats and consoles dark ghost grey and the cockpit
walls light ghost gray. I am pondering filling the windows with Milliput.---John

So much for being impressed, the engine cowls have massive sink holes. Another "Putty Queen"
in the making.---John

I am on hold for this project. I sent an e mail with the above picture of
the defective parts to Revell Germany, think I'll get new parts?---John
