Red tail done today. Pic doesn't do it justice due to light and iPhone used to take shot. Modelmaster Chevy Engine red used, and as per uncle knottys instructions, 3 parts paint to 2 parts thinner. I'm very happy with the finish and colour match.

Looking good mate. Any reason why you painted the red before white? I was always told to go from light to dark.

I've just learned something as well salty.. Sorry Tony, never heard that one before. I just did the tail first because I couldn't wait to see how it would come out. No science involved.. :D

Looking good Stu , the tail came up a treat :) :) the colour looks spot on Stu .

No worries Stu. If you are using the Tamiya Pure white you will see it will take a fair few coats to cover any red paint left behind. And I mean a fair few!

All taped up mate.. Hopefully only a little spray I can cover..

Just rub the red paint off Stu , it's only a bit of over spray ........lucky you taped it up ;) ;)
