Huntsman's are good to have around the house, they eat lots of insects. We use to have a huge one that lived in our letter box.

They don't bother me. When I lived at my folks place, my bedroom was a refuge for them. The hand down and destroy whitetails and spiders that make cobwebs (Huntsmen don't make webs). Long live the Huntsmen spider.
