Need airliner type help

Postby jayveedee » Sat Aug 20, 2016 9:49 am

I was looking back at all the planes I have flown in and am stumped by one I can't remember.
I flew from Hartford Ct to Miami then to Nassau. It was July 1983 and the livery was Eastern.
Would it have been a 727 or L-1011? I am almost thinking L-1011.Strange what happens when you start
getting up there.---John

In that time period it may have been a 727-200 on the first sector, then an aircraft change to an L1011 out of Miami. On another note, it's great to see the Eastern livery once again gracing the US skies.

Having flown on Eastern in '83, I flew on a DC 9, A300 and 727-200, only saw one L1011 at ATL

How do you all remember this stuff? I was in grade 3 in 1983 and I can't remember what I had for lunch Monday last week.

OLD?????? There is no such thing as old. You can age physically maybe but if
you have the"Peter Pan" syndrome as I have "you never grow up".
Not me.....not me! Therefore my syndrome counteracts Al's Shriners syndrome.
BTW my oldest son was in 3rd grade in 1983, know him are did you forget
already?---John

The tall guy with the uniform was in 3rd grade in 1983, next tallest was in 3rd grade in 1992,
smallest one was in 3rd grade in 1999. Title of pic? My Three Sons. We all get old, I guess.---John
